Made in South Korea 2016,  'Sneers man' takes on ideas from corporate Korea, the 'Racoons' American 1980s cartoon and a feeling from a modern yet often 'quite' empty Korean city. The central figure wears a deceptive smile, almost clown like makeup, flamboyant shoes. Behind and around the figure are eye motifs, in parts open and in parts closed. Soft coloured lines in the background, a grey mixed grey floor, painted on a recycled vinyl sheet, not quite hiding its past too well. It reminds me of a time and a place in particular.
